A very simple “ship configurator”.
It is part of the tutorials in the Wiki: Click here
You will need the latest Quaestor version to use all functionality.
The ship configurator enables you to develop a ship design which is only build up on the basis of a hull, deck(s) and bulkheads(s). In addition, a very simple mass calculation and an intact stability calculation can be performed for this ship design.
Finally some of the results can be represented in a Word document and Excel tables.
Of course, the content of the results of this limited “ship configurator” will be absolutely meaningless. However, it contains good examples of how knowledge can be managed within a Taxonomy Entity concept.
The configurator contains several knowledge engineering methods to manage your knowledge in Quaestor which can be useful for developing your own knowledge bases. You can open the password protected knowledge base with the password “configurator”.
